Interview With J. Saman – New Release ‘Crazy to Love You’

I’ve been a long time admirer of Julie’s work and have been following her for quite some time. Not in a stalker-ish kind of way either, although sometimes she asks people to stalk her. Just don’t tell her I told you that.

Her contemporary romance novels always lean towards strong, independent female leads with their Alpha males who have such a heart-warming softer side for the ladies in their life. All of her books carry similar themes and it’s how she’s built a strong and supportive following.

September 24th her huge fan base is waiting to be reunited with Gus Diamond. We initially met him as the heartbroken ex-boyfriend of Viola and also the twin brother to Jasper, the lead singer in their band. Crazy to Love You is expected to pick up after the conclusion of Love to Hate Her and Hate to Love Him.

I can’t tell you how excited I am to hear Gus’s own story because he was such an amazing character when we met him before. He has a lot of flaws that we’ve all been introduced to and a background already painted about him where he just hasn’t met the ‘ONE’ yet. Hopefully, he can find his Happily Ever After as well.

You will find additional information and how to contact Julie and follow all her social media after the interview.

Interview Questions

Now without further ado, let’s get into the interview!

Q: The expected release date for Crazy to Love You is September 24th. Your fans are still waiting on an official blurb release for this book and a cover! When can your fans expect to see those two big pieces coming out?

A: The cover and blurb are being revealed on August 13th and I am so excited for readers to finally get their eyes on Gus Diamond. he’s without a doubt one of my swooniest heroes to date!

Q: What kind of exciting release events can we all look forward to seeing over the next month and a half?

A: For the cover and blurb reveal we’re going to have a fun giveaway on both my Facebook and Instagram pages. After that, leading up to the release, we have several teaser and excerpt reveals to give you a taste of all things Gus and Naomi. Their chemistry is unbelievably hot, their story a bit different, so I know readers are going to fall hard for this story.

Q: Now, let’s talk about some semantics and things I know I am always curious about! How long should we expect this book to be and will you end up splitting it into two books like the main characters brothers books were?

A: This book is just under 100k words. I’m not sure yet how many pages that will turn out to be. I have no plans to split it into two books. This will be a complete story.

Q: We’re finally going to get an inside look at Gus and his experiences. This is a big deal after all the interaction we’ve had with him as a character in his twin brother’s books. Will his love interest be someone we’ve met or heard of in other books?

A: No. His love interest is a completely new character. That said, there are plenty of scenes with Jasper and even Viola and Adalyn. Keith and Henry, who will also be getting their own stories, are in this too.

Q: How far after the Wild Minds Duet do we meet up with Gus? Has it been a long time or just a little while after those books ended?

A: The second epilogue in the second book of the duet, Hate to Love Him is from Gus’s POV.  Other than the prologue in Crazy To Love You, the book picks up shortly after that epilogue takes place.

Q: All your fans are going to want to know if Jasper and Viola make an appearance in this story. I know I’m missing Jasper terribly.

A: As I mentioned above, Jasper and Viola are definitely part of this story. A bit part. Jasper especially and I added in an extra special Jasper something for fans. Also because I really can’t get enough Jasper myself ; )
