Because It’s Really Important To Have a Process…

As a book reviewer, I get a lot of requests from some amazing authors, publishers and marketing companies to review work.

If you’re interested in sending me a print or eBook copy of your book for an honest review, see below for an overview on how I conduct book reviews and what I will need from you. I am happy to add you to the growing TBR List but please be patient and we will work together to establish a timeline for reading and posting the review depending on when your book releases or if it is already released.

My Preferred Genres

  • Contemporary
  • Historical Fiction
  • Romance
  • Fantasy (YA and Adult)
  • Thriller / Mystery

Additional genres I will consider for review: horror and science fiction

Process

It is best to contact me directly at adventureinlit@gmail.com and include the following information:

  • Email subject line: [Author Name] & [Book Title] – Request For Review
  • Overview of the work you want reviewed
  • Author background and introduction
  • Press release information
    • Pictures of book cover, author photos, social media tags,
    • Book quotes

Once I receive all the information from you, we will agree on a timeline for review publication depending on specific needs of the work and determine what format you would like to provide for me to review.

Once I publish a review on my blog, I will also post that review on accompanying social media (i.e. Instagram and Twitter) as well as your book listing on Amazon, Goodreads, etc.

Rating System

five-stars

I absolutely love this book! I’d likely purchase it and tell my friends about it.

four-stars

I really liked this book. I’d likely purchase it.

three-stars

I liked it, but it could use some improvements.

two-stars

It was alright. I either couldn’t get into it or it was too confusing.

one-star

I did not like it at all.

Please do not hesitate to let me know if you have any questions, but it’s a much smoother process for both parties if you follow this process.
