I had to bring out my sprinkles for this shot because this time of year I LOOOVE making cookies! My kids love to eat them and I love making them. It was never a big thing for me until I spent Christmas with my mother-in-law 12 years ago. She has a tradition the week before to spend an entire day making Christmas cookies to give out to people. After that fun day with her, I learned how much I love making them and giving them to people and seeing how happy it makes them.
The bigger challenge for me this year is going to be finding some keto cookie recipes that are easy enough to do in large batches and that my kids might enjoy having alongside me. If anyone knows any good recipes, please send them my way!
Now onto the point of this ramble…
Cookies and coffee pair well with intense romance love triangles, right?! – for me they do any ways! haha!
Both Villette and The Favorite Daughter feature such love triangles where multiple people are involved in a relationship. The pain and anguish of betrayal, overcoming the loss of someone you loved and finding new hope and adventures in the path you’ve scoured through all the pain. These are the kinds of love stories I enjoy reading. I want characters that really overcome something and find something deep within themselves that they did not know was there.
This is really what makes for good reading though, isn’t it? Stories where we can truly get lost in the lives of other people; characters that are so rich in detail within our minds that we completely lose sight of ourselves.
A book where I can get completely absorbed into while snacking on Christmas cookies and drinking warm coffee?? EVEN BETTER!

If I could make you any treat right now, what would you want most?? Along with that, what you want to be reading while you eat it?
I think warm cookies and coffee with reading sounds pretty perfect! Yum!
