Good morning and happy Friday to you all! I hope you are all bristling for the weekend, ready to relax and let go of another week. We’re at the point in the month where I want to look back at how the first half of December has gone for me. This has been a very busy month for me personally and professionally.

First off, I made a difficult personal decision to really dig into my blog and invested in some tools and programs I would need to really make this work. I have been sort-of half committed to what I was doing here and it reached a point where I needed to make that decision.

Is this something I really want to do with my life? ABSOLUTELY! Now it’s time to get myself focused.

Due to that, I have been spending an inordinate amount of time laying out my plans for writing material, goals and of course all my reading. Reading is essential piece to discussing books.

So then I really hashed out what books I want to be reading, why I am reading them and detailing a very serious goal plan for this month and into next year.

Any who, that’s what I’ve been up to on that side of things. As for reading, I’ve been very busy reading away some light-hearted holiday romances, making progress in my very large classical choice for the month, and chipping away at my ominous NetGalley shelf.

So let’s get into it!

December Books I’m Currently Reading

    • Jane Eyre
      • I’m only about 15% through this one, but I am intentionally taking my time with it. There is a multitude of emotional depth within this story that I don’t want to overlook or miss because I rushed through it.
    • What Kind of Girl
      • Approximately 30% through this one. This happens to be a NetGalley item that I have for a February 2020 release. An intense read that I also have to take my time with due to the triggering topics and emotional status of the girls in these stories.
    • Serpent & Doveย
      • Listening to this one on Audible during my drive in to work and on my way home. It’s hard to tell, but I think I’m about halfway through the listening time and I am loving this one. The audio narration is extremely well done and I find myself anticipating getting stuck in traffic so I can listen longer!
    • An Heirloom Christmas
      • Likely to be my final holiday romance for the year, I just opened this one on my kindle so I haven’t technically started it. I’ve been reading a lot of these this month and I think I may have holiday’d myself out right about now. haha

As you can see, December has been a very busy month, but these kinds of successful months are what makes me excited to share with you all and hear from you as well!
