Book Review: The Fear of Falling by B. Cranford

Review

When I found this book, I had been reading a lot of heavy drama-filled romance books – which don’t get me wrong, I love them – but I definitely needed a break from all the heart wrenching material my emotions were being drug through. I saw this one recommended by one of my favorite authors, Leaona Luxx, and decided to add it to my Kindle Unlimited. I am so glad I did because this beautiful little novella was just what I needed. A story about loss and finding love when it was least expected.

I stopped, grabbed her hand, and pulled her into my arms, a movement I hadn’t planned at all. Something about this woman made me act out of character—and like a lovesick fool.

Rowen in The Fear of Falling, B. Cranford

I was not prepared for how sweet and endearing this one was. Reading the story of Lenny and Rowan reminded me that for those of that can sometimes be afraid of making scary choices after experiencing something tragic, that there can be some real happiness.

Lenny is scared of a lot of things after experiencing a tragic accident, but after a close friend of hers passes away from cancer, she makes it a point to start taking risks and living her life, as a testament to her lost friend. In the process she meets Rowan who completely changes her life and her outlook on her self.

A beautifully told story that reads super fast and will warm your heart. Highly recommended for a short and sweet read if that’s what you’re looking for

About The Author

B. Cranford is a proud Australian living in the USA, a lover of books, breadsticks and bed, and the mother of two children who are far too similar to their father for her liking. A lifelong reader, she dove into the romance genre on the recommendation of her best friend and hasn’t looked back since. Her debut novel, The Brightest Star, a second chance romance with (she hopes) heart and humor was released on July 13, 2017, which just so happened to be her birthday. Because if you release a book on your birthday, you get twice as much cake, and that can only be a good thing.
