When 2021 was coming to a close, I was feeling very over zealous about how much I thought I would read in 2022. Year-over-year I’ve set my reading goal at 50 and I’ve always exceeded that goal. So when I got to planning out 2022, I thought to myself…
“Since I always read more than 50, I should challenge myself to get to 100.”
That plan backfired in my face.
I ended up only reading 26 / 100 so far at this point.
Clearly short of my goal and even shorter than my yearly average.
I’m not surprised though because I had a lot more personally going on this year that was more essential to focus on. For example, my husband and I really dialed in our homeschool plans; my work got much busier and I took on some extra projects on the side.
Needless to say, my reading has been slow. However, the books I have read were very good ones and I wouldn’t change this year one bit.
In 2023 though, I will go back to my 50 book goal.
