First Lines Fridays is a weekly feature for book lovers hosted by Wandering Words. What if instead of judging a book by its cover, its author or its prestige, we judged it by its opening lines?
- Pick a book off your shelf (it could be your current read or on your TBR) and open to the first page.
- Copy the first few lines, but don’t give anything else about the book away just yet – you need to hook the reader first.
- Finally… reveal the book!
Happy Friday everyone! Hopefully your book-loving week has been going well – I’ve been knee deep in reading through my April TBR which has been much heavier than I thought it would be. But I’ve been loving everything so far and it’s been filled with a nice variety of reads that I’m not feeling overwhelmed in any way,
Now onto FIRST LINES FRIDAY!
Some secrets should stay hidden. If I’d known what would happen, the dark deeds about to be uncovered, would I have acted differently? What else could I have done?

First Lines Friday reveal…….

This one is up next on my TBR and released last November. A crime and conspiracy thriller that I cannot wait to read!
