MY REVIEW:
What a fantastic conclusion to a heart-warming series! Clay and Nova’s story is one that will keep you feeling warm and cozy. They have had their challenges throughout this series and hit plenty of bumps, but this really is a feel good series that you can sit down and read without worry of anything too heavy bringing down your mood.
Sometimes you just want to read a sweet and loving romance series where the characters don’t hit the emotional damage panic buttons and this is one of those. Clay is a superstar basketball player wanting to achieve his biggest dream which is winning a championship.
The earlier books were more focused on Nova’s development and finding herself, while I think Play Maker is more about Clay’s development from basketball player to team player – both on and off the court. They make such an adorable couple and they are always loving towards one another. This series does not include elements of cheating, bullying, or anything negative – just self development within a growing relationship that comes with the heavy pressures of being a famous athlete.
Very quick paced and easy to read without heavy drama, you can sit back and rest assured that you’ll feel satisfied with this romance story and finally get the conclusion I know I’ve been waiting for all summer!
