I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.
“It is difficult being in a room where so much sadness is being expressed, yet it feels good somehow because our words of grief are being witnessed. Within the space of that witnessing, tiny pieces of sorrow are lifted. In that lifting, there is hope.”
Sea Glass Memories, Anne Marie Bennett
If you’ve ever felt grief over the loss of a loved one, a pet, a friend – then this book provides a supportive and reflective outlet for the processing of that grief.
The story follows Elena who lost her husband in an accident two years ago and is processing this loss and grief. She moves to the small town of Seahaven to be closed to her brother Carlos. But life surprises her by opening doors to help her really understand who she is and what she’s experienced, allowing for that deeper processing necessary to continue living.
I really loved this book and will hold it close as a recommendation to anyone who needs to be held and reminded how important every day is and that we need to appreciate every moment we have.

A grieving English teacher. A handsome actor. A new start with fresh possibilities…but the past is in the way
Two years ago, Elana Jeffries lost both loves of her life in Boston. Now she is starting over in beautiful Seahaven, located on the idyllic Maine coast and conveniently close to the home of her brother Carlos. Leaving Boston is difficult, but Elana–a dedicated high school English teacher–finds sanctuary in a renovated apartment building owned by the mystical Kit Gilmore, a longtime and beloved Seahaven resident who has also known devastating loss. Her illusions of happily-ever-after were shattered in Boston, but a fleeting romance with a high-spirited, talented young actor offers Elana another distraction and something else entirely: a glimpse of her former self and a flicker of hope that indicates happiness may be on the horizon again.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Welcome! I write stories that stir heart & soul!
I’ve been writing stories and novels since the sixth grade when I was assigned to write a short story and instead turned in a 40-page novel about a little girl who stumbles on an underground cat colony! My English teacher (thank you, Mr. Ballantine!) was so impressed, he sent it to a publisher. The publisher did not respond, but Anne Marie decided right then and there to be a Writer (note the capital W).
Flash forward 50 years and I am still writing stories and novels (among other things)!
I have published several books about the intuitive process of SoulCollage®, as well as my two unique cancer journeys. I am now focusing my creative energies on fiction, and you can read my FREE 50-page novella, All You Need is Love…and Lilacs just by signing up for my monthly author newsletter, Inky Blessings: https://AnneMarieBennett.com/newsletter
My women’s novel Feathers in the Sand will float onto bookshelves 7/11/22. I am happily blogging about the process of publishing a novel on AnneMarieBennett.com and you can receive updates along with info about extra-ordinary give-aways via my monthly newsletter, Stories That Stir Heart & Soul (link above).
I live with my big-hearted, silver-haired, number-oriented husband Jeff in eastern Massachusetts (with extremely frequent visits to Maine). My daily journey is also accompanied by two beloved adolescent felines (Louis and Seymour) who grace our lives with love and excessive cuddling in their above-ground cat colony of two.
