MY REVIEW:

Rating: 5 out of 5.

If you’ve read any of the Kodiaks series from Piper, than you know Miles and Brooke have had a lot of tension in the previous three books and now we get to hear their story – FINALLY! Brooke has a big event coming up with her sorority sisters, as well as a lot of personal baggage going on lately, and she just wants the trip to go smooth. But that means its all about her appearance, which means she needs to ensure she has the perfect “fake” boyfriend to go with her. Miles is the perfect fit for the job!

So much tension throughout this entire book and absolutely expect the cliff hanger on this one as it’s a planned 3 book series to tell their entire story. I was not expecting the cliff hanger to hit when it did, even though I absolutely knew there would be one. Brooke and Miles are absolutely perfect together as they both struggle with their public appearance in the media and who they are at the core. Expected to be something on screen that they struggle with internally at times. I can’t wait for the next installment coming in August!

My Favorite Lines:

“I knew we had chemistry, but this is something else, it’s physics, a damned gravitational pull dragging us together, insisting that his mouth on mine is the natural order of things.”

“I’m not used to being around a girl I can’t have for weeks, slowly driving myself crazy. Maybe there’s something to be said for delayed gratification.”

GET IT HERE:

It’s not every day you ask your older brother’s teammate to be your fake boyfriend. But desperate times call for gorgeous, impulsive measures.

Miles Garrett is a pro basketball player with a heartstopping smile and infamous cocky charm.

But to me, he’s always been more than a celebrity. Miles is the guy who puts friends and family first…and my college crush.

When my sorority sister decides to bring my ex to our reunion, I need a plus-one who can have my back and save my pride. Asking Miles is the perfect solution.

Until he raises the stakes for both of us.

He says he’s only playing to win. He’ll be the best fake boyfriend I’ve ever had.

But his gaze hunts mine across a crowded room. He protects me with a fierceness that steals my breath. Our just-for-show kisses ignite a wildfire inside me.

I’m fighting feelings that have been simmering for years. Soon our pretend relationship starts feeling dangerously legit…

Because it’s hard to fake what’s always been real.
