February was one of my favorite reading months in a long time. I had a chance to reconnect with one of my favorite genres – Historical Fiction/Romance – there were some really wonderful releases in February from Bethany House Publishing and I was grateful to have been a part of some of those releases.

The last few months have personally been incredibly stressful with losing my full time job back in November and struggling through the holidays to pay bills and provide a Christmas for our kids that they could appreciate. One of the most important experiences that we had over this difficult time period, was the reminder that being together is worth more than anything.

It’s easy to forget the important of time together when you’re going through the motions, but having our life upended in the way it was brought that back into perspective and brought all of us even closed than we already were.

This is part of why my February reads were so important to me, as most of the books I read were about family struggles or adventures. Keeping those messages close to my heart and remembering to take everyday with my eyes wide open and appreciating all the things I have.

February has concluded with 8 books read and a total of 2,660 pages read – like I said, it was a busy reading month for me! Now onto the books that made up this wonderful month!

~*~*~*~*~* My Top 3 for February *~*~*~*~*~

  1. A Lady’s Guide to Marvels and Misadventures by Angela Bell
  2. The Warm Hands of Ghosts by Katherine Arden
