A huge THANK YOU to the team over at Valentine PR for sending me this surprise in the mail a few weeks ago. Piper Lawson is a new-to-me author and this is a book I fell in love with quickly! If you enjoy a steamy age gap, single dad, close proximity romance then you’re going to adore this one.

First, let’s talk about the female main character, Kat. She is a stunning individual and is always putting others happiness before herself. Sometimes to a fault. But she’s been through a tough life and uses her amazing sense of humor to deflect when things get tough. She truly has a 💛𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐠𝐨𝐥𝐝 💛 and reminds me a lot of myself with her deflection tactics. I understood her well on this level because I’ve always turned to humor when things get tough. It’s easier to let things roll off your shoulders then to try and carry too much weight.

Kat is also a college student about to finish up and is trying to decide where her life is going. Her two roommates, and her best friends, have recently moved out with their significant others and now she’s kind of on her own. One of those friends, Liv, teaches ballet and a student of hers is the son of one of the college professor’s. Widower and single dad, Daniel, is someone Kat has chemistry with and they’ve interacted a few times. But when he needs someone to help look after his son so he can focus on getting tenure, Kat finds a new purpose in life. Being a nanny for Daniel’s son Andy and spending a lot more time with Daniel.

This close proximity heats up really quick with their chemistry and care for one another. I really enjoyed Kat and Daniel and didn’t want this story to end as quickly as it did.

This entire story gave me 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐬 with just how sweet it was. Daniel and Kat are amazing together and watching that relationship unfold was pure joy to me as a reader. Plus the witty commentary had me laughing as well!

GET IT HERE:

He’s a single dad and my new boss.

The man is scorching hot. His gorgeous smile and dark eyes turn me on like crazy.

Too bad he’s ten years older, with trust issues and more layers than my psych degree could ever unwrap.

I need this job, and the roof over my head. Falling into bed with him is a bad idea. Letting my heart get involved would be even worse.

But he makes me feel things I never expected to feel.

She’s my son’s nanny, and a student at the university where I’m a professor.

Watching her play with my son, hearing her laugh across the hall, seeing her walk by with those legs that would look amazing over my shoulders is delicious torment.

I should know better than to pursue this attraction, no matter how intense.

I haven’t wanted a woman since my wife died. But there’s no future for me and the college senior who sleeps in the next bedroom.

I need to stay professional…but she’s too tempting.

TEMPT is a sexy, swoony, single dad nanny age gap romance from USA Today bestselling author Piper Lawson. It can be read as a standalone.
